2017 Skytrax World Airline Awards

The prestigious award is often referred to as the “Oscars of the aviation industry” and it is one to remember by Qatar Airways. The Skytrax awards are decided based on independent surveys completed by over 19 million passengers from 105 different countries around the world. This year Qatar Airways has won its fourth win in the last 10 years after securing the top spot in 2011, 2012, and 2015. Qatar Airways also took home the award for Best Business Class in the World, Best First Class Airline Lounge and Best Airline in the Middle East. The TOP 10 included: Qatar Airways, Singapore Airlines, ANA All Nippon Airways, Emirates Airline, Cathay Pacific, EVA Air, Lufthansa, Etihad Airways, Hainan Airlines and Garuda Indonesia.
The Best Regional Airline in Europe was declared Aegean Airlines, while Air Astana took the awards for Best Airline in Central Asia / India and Best Airline Staff Service in Central Asia / India and Austrian Airlines
for Best Airline Staff Service in Europe.

Emirates Airline received the World’s Best Airline Inflight Entertainment and Best First Class Comfort Amenities awards and Etihad Airways the World’s Best First Class, Best First Class Seat and Best First Class Onboard Catering. For the first time, flynas got an award for Best Low-Cost Airline in the Middle East and Saudia Airlines received the World’s Most Improved Airline award.

Once again, Garuda Indonesia staff was declared the World’s Best Cabin Crew, Oman Air ones the Best Airline Staff in the Middle East and Hainan Airlines got the Best Airline Staff Service in China.
